MEDRIX is proud to announce Dr. Pham Hoang Hung as
the recipient of the MEDRIX International Cultural Exchange/Scholarship
awarded this May.
Dr.
Hung will be coming to the Seattle area from Hue, Vietnam, where he is a
Pediatrician working in Gastroenterology and Infectious Diseases.
He will be attending the Association for Professionals in Infection
Control and Epidemiology Conference being held in Seattle. In
addition, he will be the guest of the Children's Hospital and Medical
Center, and the Swedish Hospital, spending time in both facilities with
several physicians and medical leaders.
Dr.
Hung has been working with MEDRIX team members since 1994. He has
been instrumental in the development of medical/nursing education
courses held for the past several years at the Hue Central
Hospital. He has been a friend, mentor, colleague and valued
partner in the development of MEDRIX in Vietnam.
The
purpose of the scholarship is to expand International Collaboration and
assist in the development of professionals in emerging countries.
MEDRIX
hosted an Open House on June 1, 2001 in his honor upon his arrival in
Seattle.
